For this great price, the Apollo Valve 10-600 Series Bronze Safety Relief Valve, ASME Hot Water, 125 psi Set Pressure, 1" NPT Female is highly recommended and is a popular choice for most people. Conbraco have included some nice touches and this results in great value for money.
This Apollo Valve 10-600 series warm water relief valve secures versus excessive water pressure due to failure of controls to manage BTU input. It has a bronze body, a 125 pounds per square inch (psi) relief pressure, and a 1" female National Pipe Thread (NPT) inlet connection and 1" female NPT outlet. The valve's body and spring cage are bronze for resistance to deterioration. The seat is silicone for resistance to high temperatures and rises for draining water far from the seat area. The spring is steel for resistance to deterioration, and a fabric-reinforced, molded EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) diaphragm isolates the spring from water at all times. The valve can be utilized in operating temperatures up to 250 degrees F. This relief valve is American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) safety rated for Section IV heating boilers and is ideal for warm water heating boilers and warm water supply systems.Relief valves remove
excess pressure or vacuum from a system. The valve openings permit fluids or gases to escape to reduce pressure, and then close once the valve reaches the reseating pressure limitation. They also alleviate excess vacuum by opening to release a gas into the system and then closing after it reaches its low-pressure limitation. Some relief valves have a change mechanism to set the pressure where the valve opens, making it ideal for numerous applications. Relief valves are rated according to the volume of liquid or gas that can flow through them and the material that the valve is constructed from must be ideal for the fluid or gas, which may be corrosive or at a severe temperature, where it runs. Relief valves are utilized in a variety of applications, such as air compressors, petrochemical and chemical manufacturing, natural gas processing, and power generation.Apollo Valves produces ball, blending, and relief valves, actuators, water assesses, aquatic fittings, heating and plumbing items, and backflow prevention. The business, founded in 1928 and locateded in Matthews, NC, satisfies global standard International Organization for Standardization(ISO)/ IEC standard 17025:2005.
