This Apollo Valve 10-600 series warm water relief valve protects against extreme water pressure due to failure of controls to manage BTU input. It has a bronze body, a 150 pounds per square inch (psi) relief pressure, and a 3/4" female National Pipeline Thread (NPT) inlet connection and 3/4" female NPT outlet. The valve's body and spring cage are bronze for resistance to deterioration. The seat is silicone for resistance to high temperatures and is elevated for draining water far from the seat location. The spring is steel for resistance to deterioration, and a fabric-reinforced, molded EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) diaphragm isolates the spring from water at all times. The valve can be utilized in operating temperatures around 250 degrees F. This relief valve is American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) safety rated for Section IV heating boilers and is appropriate for warm water heating boilers and warm water supply systems.
