This Apollo Valve 10-600 series warm water relief valve protects versus excessive water pressure due to failure of controls to manage BTU input. It has a bronze body, a 30 pounds per square inch (psi) relief pressure, and a 1" female National Pipe Thread (NPT) inlet connection and 1-1/4" female NPT outlet. The valve's body and spring cage are bronze for resistance to deterioration. The seat is silicone for resistance to heats and is elevated for draining water away from the seat area. The spring is steel for resistance to deterioration, and a fabric-reinforced, molded EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) diaphragm separates the spring from water at all times. The valve can be used in running temperatures approximately 250 degrees F. This relief valve is American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) safety ranked for Area IV heating boilers and is appropriate for warm water heating boilers and warm water supply systems.
