This Apollo Valve 10-600 series warm water relief valve protects against extreme water pressure due to failure of controls to control BTU input. It has a bronze body, a 30 pounds per square inch (psi) relief pressure, and a 3/4" female National Pipeline Thread (NPT) inlet connection and 1" female NPT outlet. The valve's body and spring cage are bronze for resistance to corrosion. The seat is silicone for resistance to heats and is raised for draining water far from the seat area. The spring is steel for resistance to corrosion, and a fabric-reinforced, molded EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) diaphragm isolates the spring from water at all times.
