For this great price, the Apollo Valve 10-600 Series Bronze Safety Relief Valve, ASME Hot Water, 40 psi Set Pressure, 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" NPT Female is widely respected and is always a popular choice for lots of people. Conbraco have included some nice touches and this equals great value.
This Apollo Valve 10-600 series hot water relief valve safeguards against excessive water pressure due to failure of controls to regulate BTU input. It has a bronze body, a 40 pounds per square inch (psi) relief pressure, and a 1-1/4" female National Pipe Thread (NPT) inlet connection and 1-1/2" female NPT outlet. The valve's body and spring cage are bronze for resistance to rust. The seat is silicone for resistance to high temperatures and is elevated for draining pipes water far from the seat location. The spring is steel for resistance to rust, and a fabric-reinforced, molded EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) diaphragm isolates the spring from water at all times. The valve can be used in running temperatures as much as 250 degrees F. This relief valve is American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) safety rated for Section IV heating boilers and is ideal for hot water heating boilers and hot water supply systems.Relief valves get rid of
excess pressure or vacuum from a system. The valve openings enable fluids or gases to get away to decrease pressure, and then close once the valve reaches the reseating pressure limit. They also relieve excess vacuum by opening to launch a gas into the system and then closing after it reaches its low-pressure limit. Some relief valves have a modification mechanism to set the pressure where the valve opens, making it ideal for various applications. Relief valves are rated according to the volume of liquid or gas that can flow through them and the product that the valve is built from should appropriate for the fluid or gas, which might be destructive or at an extreme temperature, where it operates. Relief valves are used in a range of applications, such as air compressors, petrochemical and chemical manufacturing, natural gas processing, and power generation.Apollo Valves makes ball, blending, and relief valves, actuators, water evaluates, marine fittings, heating and plumbing items, and backflow prevention. The business, founded in 1928 and headquartered in Matthews, NC, fulfills worldwide basic International Organization for Standardization(ISO)/ IEC basic 17025:2005.
