Manufacturer Description

This Apollo Valve 10-600 series hot water relief valve protects versus excessive water pressure due to failure of controls to regulate BTU input. It has a bronze body, a 75 pounds per square inch (psi) relief pressure, and a 1-1/2" female National Pipe Thread (NPT) inlet connection and 2" female NPT outlet. The valve's body and spring cage are bronze for resistance to rust. The seat is silicone for resistance to heats and is elevated for draining water away from the seat location. The spring is steel for resistance to rust, and a fabric-reinforced, molded EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) diaphragm isolates the spring from water at all times. The valve can be utilized in operating temperature levels as much as 250 degrees F. This relief valve is American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) security rated for Area IV heating boilers and is ideal for hot water heating boilers and hot water supply systems.
