Conbraco have provided some excellent touches and this results in great value for money.
This Apollo Valve 10-600 series warm water relief valve secures versus excessive water pressure due to failure of controls to manage BTU input. It has a bronze body, a 75 pounds per square inch (psi) relief pressure, and a 1-1/4" female National Pipe Thread (NPT) inlet connection and 1-1/2" female NPT outlet. The valve's body and spring cage are bronze for resistance to corrosion. The seat is silicone for resistance to high temperatures and is raised for draining water far from the seat area. The spring is steel for resistance to corrosion, and a fabric-reinforced, molded EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) diaphragm isolates the spring from water at all times. The valve can be used in operating temperatures approximately 250 degrees F. This relief valve is American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) safety ranked for Section IV heating boilers and appropriates for warm water heating boilers and warm water supply systems.Relief valves eliminate
excess pressure or vacuum from a system. The valve openings enable fluids or gases to leave to reduce pressure, and after that close once the valve reaches the reseating pressure limitation. They also eliminate excess vacuum by opening to release a gas into the system and after that closing after it reaches its low-pressure limitation. Some relief valves have a change system to set the pressure where the valve opens, making it appropriate for different applications. Relief valves are ranked according to the volume of liquid or gas that can flow through them and the material that the valve is built from should be appropriate for the fluid or gas, which may be destructive or at an extreme temperature level, in which it operates. Relief valves are used in a variety of applications, such as air compressors, petrochemical and chemical production, gas processing, and power generation.Apollo Valves makes ball, blending, and relief valves, actuators, water assesses, marine fittings, heating and plumbing products, and backflow prevention. The company, established in 1928 and headquartered in Matthews, NC, fulfills global standard International Organization for Standardization(ISO)/ IEC standard 17025:2005.
