Manufacturer Description

This NIBCO NJ998H8 BRS ball valve is made from chrome-plated brass for greater corrosion resistance than routine brass or steel, and has a lever manage for on/off manual control, and complete port flow for greater operating efficiency than standard port. This two-piece inline valve has a 3/4" solder end connection for semi-permanent connection to tubing going in the very same direction, and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) seats for resistance to chemicals, moisture, and high temperatures. It is pressure ranked to 600 pounds per square inch (psi) for cold working pressure (CWP) and has a blow-out proof stem to reduce leakage and valve damage. This complete port ball valve meets NSF International/American National Standards Institute (NSF/ANSI) 61.8 requirements for drinkable water use and is ideal for use in residential and light industrial applications.

Ball valves make use of a round disc to regulate the flow between pipelines, tubes, or hoses. Flow is enabled when the hole that pierces the ball-shaped disc is in line with the inlet and outlet of the valve and is blocked when the ball is horizontally swiveled 90 degrees, so that the hole of the ball is perpendicular to the opening of the valve. Ball valves can be described as complete port or minimized port (likewise referred to as routine or standard port) depending on the inner diameter or the valve. A ball valve is complete port if the hole of the ball is the very same size as the inner diameter of the linking pipeline (resulting in lower rubbing) and called minimized port if the hole of the valve is one pipe size smaller sized than the pipe, resulting in less flow with the valve than with the shaft of the pipe. Ball valves could have a manage or lever that aligns with the ball's position (open or shut) for manual operation. They are mostly utilized in air, gas, fluid, and steam applications.

NIBCO produces flow-control products for building, industrial, fire defense, and irrigation applications. The company, started in 1904 and headquartered in Elkhart, IN, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001.
