W11 17 Watt Class "F" continuous responsibility coils. Solenoid coils are molded with rust resistant polyester and are developed to satisfy NEMA 4 standards. These coils are water and dust tight and are provided basic with a 1/2" NPT female nylon connector assembly. An adapter assembly with an optional indication light. The coil is meant for indoor or outdoor use in basic purpose applications as well as those where conditions such as dust, blowing dirt or splashing water are likely to be found. They must never ever be immersed in water. These coils are geared up with a DIN requirement connector assembly (DIN 43650 and ISO 4400). The basic external connection is 1/2" NPT. This kind of connector allows internal electrical connections to be made easily while disconnected from the coil. The external cable connection to the housing could be arranged at any one of 4 angles (90 degree increments) to help with valve setup. The coil can be turned to any position in relation to the valve by loosening the cap nut on top of the coil. Turn the coil to the wanted position. Retighten the cap nut comfortably to be sure the O-rings and gasket seal effectively. Hand tight suffices. Solenoid valves with 17 watt molded coils will run in any position, nonetheless, it is advised that they be mounted in an up-right position for maximum cycle life. Plast-O-Matic molded solenoid coils are rated for continuous responsibility as much as 104 degree F ambient. Above this temperature level they are rated intermittent responsibility requiring a cool off duration prior to re-energizing. Molded solenoid coils are rated for continuous responsibility as much as 104 degree F ambient. Coil surface area temperature level: 185 degree F. Optimum allowable ambient temperature level: 104 degree F. VA Inrush: 66. VA Holding: 24. 024 VDC Coil volts.
